A Message to District 3
Meet Charles
A lifetime of service to Robeson County
Charles V. Graham has spent more than five decades in service to the Lumbee community and Robeson County — as an educator, a business owner, a public servant, and a tribal advocate.
A lifelong resident of the area, Charles earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Pembroke State University in 1973, a Master's degree in Education from Appalachian State University in 1983, and an Education Specialist degree in Education Administration from Lehigh University in 1993.
He began his career as a Special Education teacher in the Public Schools of Robeson County in 1978, later serving as Director of Special Education for the district from 1992 to 2006 — nearly three decades dedicated to the education of our children.
In 1998, Charles founded Companion Home Care–Unimed, Inc., a nationally certified behavioral health and durable medical equipment provider, and remains a Qualified Mental Health Professional for NC's IDD/Innovation Waiver Services, serving families across the region with in-home personal care.
From 2011 to 2023, Charles represented Robeson County in the North Carolina House of Representatives (District 47). He has also served as a Trustee of the $368 million Native American Agriculture Fund (2018–2025) and on the Board of Directors of Select Bank (2012–2021).
Now, Charles is bringing that same record of leadership, experience, and commitment to the Lumbee Tribal Council, District 3.
